And winter is cold and dark and long, unless of course, you're inside with friends, tossing dice around or throwing down cards or taking over Europe. You know how that makes time fly...
Last year, in spite of weather, almost 200 people packed into SnowCon for all things game - workshops, discussions, and games, games, games! Many new amusements were learned, and many new friends were made, Vikings and Mandalorians sat together in peace... And we were told (by people with swords) that it would happen again. So, because a) it rocked and b) we value our limbs, SNOWCON RETURNS!
How it started
Inspired by friends who'd lamented that most gaming cons are Far Away From Here, the BangPop! web gnome decided that a gaming convention would be just the thing to make a warm winter in a cold weekend. After musing for months, she finally decided that it just had to happen.
Enter BangPop!'s organizational orc, Gibran Graham, who agreed that a gaming con would be the ideal follow-up to the signature event in September, the BangPop! Comic and Pop Culture Con.
BangPop! is dedicated to bringing events from the pop culture fringe to the Bangor area.
