Alex de Campi is well known for her 2005 noir thriller mini-series Smoke (published by IDW Publishing, art by Igor Kordey), which was nominated for the Eisner Award for Best Limited Series. She recently Kickstarted a sequel, Ashes, which featured art by such luminaries as Bill Sienkiewicz, Colleen Doran, Carla Speed McNeil and RM Guéra. The combined Smoke/Ashes was published by Dark Horse last year. The graphic novel was called a “landmark moment in comics” by Bleeding Cool and was one of the first Kickstarted comics to be reviewed in the Sunday New York Times Book Review. Alex has also been making waves in horror circles with her comic series Grindhouse, from Dark Horse Comics. A top 10 series of 2013 from Bleeding Cool, and judged the year’s “most insane read” by USA Today, Grindhouse is trashy, disreputable, gory and loads of fun. Upcoming work includes a Lady Zorro miniseries from Dynamite Comics, and a couple other creator-owned projects not yet announced by their publishers. Her supernatural thriller webcomic Valentine, drawn by Christine Larsen, is free to read on Thrillbent.com and updates weekly. Alex is the single mom of a young child and as such also loves childrens’ writing, and co-wrote My Little Pony: Friends Forever #1 with Carla Speed McNeil. She had two series at Tokyopop for kids, Agent Boo and Kat & Mouse, and wrote half a dozen episodes of the animated TV show Dive Olly Dive. Alex is also a commercial and music videos director (with RSM Creative in LA), and has released work for artists such as Amanda Palmer, Frank Black/Violet Clark, Joan As Police Woman, Los Campesinos!, The Puppini Sisters, and many more.

For more than two decades, JEFF KLINE has been one of the fortunate few “genre nerds” able to move freely between primetime and daytime television, motion pictures and the Web, and the East and West Coasts. In 2013, he formed Darby Pop Publishing, a comic book imprint distributed worldwide by IDW. The company’s inaugural book, Indestructible, was Kline’s first foray into comic book writing. Currently, Darby Pop Publishing has four unique titles available (INDESTRUCTIBLE, CITY: THE MIND IN THE MACHINE, THE 7TH SWORD, and DOBERMAN) with a fifth — DEAD SQUAD — scheduled to drop in October. As both Writer and Showrunner, Kline has been responsible for more than 40 animated and live-action series and pilots, including multiple Daytime Emmy® Award-winning CG series TRANSFORMERS PRIME (The Hub), THAT WAS THEN (ABC), G.I. JOE: RENEGADES (The Hub) and a slew of venerable animated series including JACKIE CHAN ADVENTURES (Kids WB), MEN IN BLACK: THE ANIMATED SERIES (Kids WB), ROUGHNECKS: THE STARSHIP TROOPERS CHRONICLES (Syndicated), BIG GUY AND RUSTY THE BOY ROBOT (Fox Kids), and GODZILLA: THE SERIES (Fox Kids). He is currently in full-blown production on TRANSFORMERS: ROBOTS IN DISGUISE — scheduled to premiere in early 2015. Kline lives in Maine with his Wife, his Daughter, and his Red Sox memorabilia. And commutes to Los Angeles constantly.
