So, what can we say about BangPop! that you wouldn't know already...

BangPop! is bringing events from the pop culture fringe to the Bangor area. Starting with the original BangPop! pop culture and comic convention, it has branched onward and outward to embrace other niches of cool. Founded by Executive Director Gibran Vogue Graham in 2008, he enlisted the help of Monique Bouchard as graphic designer and partner-in-crime.

BangPop!'s signature event, Gibran's brainchild, BangPop! comic and pop culture con, is a September annual which brought out over 400 people to its FIRST one-day con in 2008. The event has since increased to two days for 2009.

SnowCon, central and northern Maine's gaming con, is held in January, inspired by Monique's love of gaming. It's first go even motivated the weather - a very stormy January weekend over 200 people attended the two-day event (and some didn't want to leave!)

The heat of July will bring the two-day Lebowski Bowl-a-Rama, a must-attend for all abiding achievers in the area!
